Roy Ronaldo Jackson appeared in the Summary Court today, June 30, 2026, to face allegations of damage to property and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He entered mixed pleas.

Outlining the allegations, the Chief Magistrate said that it was alleged that on January 6, 2026, Jackson damaged the front windshield, the rear side window, and the lower left body panel of a Silver Honda Accord in West Bay, belonging to Shamar Brady, intending to damage the said items or recklessly as to whether or not the items would be damaged. Jackson pled guilty to the charge.

Regarding the second charge, the Chief Magistrate said that it was alleged that on the same date, Jackson assaulted Shamar Brady, occasioning him actual bodily harm.  Jackson pled not guilty to actual bodily harm but guilty to common assault.  This plea was accepted by Crown Counsel from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The Chief Magistrate then questioned Jackson’s immigration status.  When his attorney Stacy-Ann Kelly confirmed that Jackson “was on time,” this complicated matters for Jackson.  In the circumstances, the matter was left to counsel to confirm Jackson’s exact legal status.

Jackson is expected back in court on July 3 for sentencing.
