Ashtyn Briana Harris, a Kimpton employee, pleaded guilty today, September 17, 2024, to four counts of drug importation through the Owen Roberts International Airport. Following the guilty pleas, Magistrate Gunn implemented a stop notice and ordered that Harris pay an amount as security and obtain a surety.

Details of Harris’ charges

According to Magistrate Gunn, Harris was charged with the importation of a few grams of ganja, mushrooms, vape cartridges and cannabinol derivates (gummies).

After Harris pleaded guilty to all charges, Magistrate Gunn issued a stop notice prohibiting Harris from leaving the jurisdiction. Notwithstanding this, she may have her passport returned to her after making a security payment of $900 and getting a surety to stand for another $1,500.

Harris is expected to return to Court for sentencing at a later date.
