Bartender Pleads Not Guilty To Alleged Rape Near Queens Court, West Bay Road

Palmurugan Paulraj, a bartender, appeared in the Grand Court on June 13, 2025 to face a rape allegation. Paulraj pleaded not guilty. He is expected to return to court in July when his trial is scheduled to commence.
Background
As explained in our previous story, the allegation is that Paulraj served two ladies drinks where he worked. One of them was celebrating a birthday.
While it is alleged that Paulraj raped the birthday girl in a car a few hours later by Queens Court plaza, Paulraj denied this, indicating that the sex was consensual.
His bail was extended to July 21, 2025.
