Cayman Islands Bankers’ Association Press Release

In light of the Hurricane Warning being in effect for the Cayman Islands, the Cayman Island Bankers’ Association members who are retail banks have made the decision to close all banking centers tomorrow Tuesday, November 5th 2024. They will reopen as soon as practically possible following the “all-clear” from the Cayman Islands Government.

While Banking Centers will be closed until the “all-clear” is issued, the Cayman Island Bankers’ Association encourage customers to utilize their ATM network for cash withdrawals and deposits. Their online banking service remains available to clients to facilitate bill payments, wire transfers and local electronic funds transfers (including intra-bank via the ACH network).

CIBA and its Member Retail Banks support and encourage adherence to the Cayman Islands Government guidance to ensure safety.

This message is supported by the Cayman Island Bankers’ Association member Retail Banks; Butterfield Bank (Cayman) Ltd, Cayman National Bank Ltd, CIBC Caribbean, Proven Bank (Cayman) Limited, Scotiabank & Trust (Cayman) Limited and RBC Royal Bank (Cayman) Ltd.
