The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said yesterday, July 15, 2024, that 53-year-old Cris Jennings, who is a Caymanian, was arrested this week for the murder of 64-year-old Valerie Dandrea.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Jennings confessed to the murder, explaining that he had an argument with Dandrea over cash.
Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies were alerted to the incident when a resident of the property called 911 around 4:45 am on Monday.
Reportedly, the resident discovered the body in an area of shared space, which is made up of several under-construction living areas occupied by different families or individuals.
Jennings has now been charged with Pre-Meditated First-Degree Murder, Armed Burglary with Battery x2, Aggravated Battery and Armed False Imprisonment.
