According to the Florida Boxing Hall of Fame, Caymanian professional boxer Charles Whittaker will be inducted into the Florida Boxing Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony will be held in the St. Petersburg Hilton Lake Carillon on Friday, Saturday & Sunday, June 20, 21 and 22, 2025.
Accepting the nomination, Whittaker said:
First of all, I thank God. For those of you who know me, you gotta be a little bit surprised. I’m not gonna be here very long. We’ll leave that to June.
You know, one of the things I’ve learned that sometimes in life, we work hard and we commit ourselves, dedicate ourselves to something. And our commitment and our dedication will take us on stages and places.
He added:
And there’s not much required to be said for the stage that we stand and speaks for us. This is one of those moments for me.
Thank you to those of you who saw me as worthy to be inducted into the Florida Boxing hall of Fame.
