Davonte Howell demonstrated remarkable skill and talent in Paris. He finished first in Heat 2 of the preliminary round of the 100m and then improved on his time in Heat 5 of the subsequent round.
Assessing the overall results, Howell’s performance positions him among the top athletes in or near the Caribbean region, surpassing competitors from the Bahamas, Haiti, Colombia, Trinidad & Tobago, Panama, Guyana, and the Dominican Republic.
Notably, Howell has achieved even faster times in other international events, indicating his potential to outperform more athletes regionally and globally.

Based on information from the University of Tennessee, Howell:
- Finished his freshman year by competing in eight meets and earned a spot take part in the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships
- Helped the Vols punch their ticket into the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships in the 4×100-meter relay with a 38.71 finish, which marked second on Tennessee’s all-time list, and placed fifth at the NCAA East First Round (05/24)
- Aided his team to a first-place finish in the 4×100-meter relay at the USC Outdoor Open (4/20), crossing the line 39.21
- Ran at the CARIFTA games for the Cayman Islands and won his second straight 100-meter title with a 10.15, which tallied a personal best
