The 2024 Coconut Cup was a showcase of exceptional swimming talent, with freshman Bolles swimmer and Cayman Islands standout Lev Fahy stealing the spotlight. Fahy delivered a remarkable performance, setting 7 new CIASA 13-14 age group records (unofficial) across multiple events. His outstanding achievements solidify his status as one of the brightest swimming talents in the region, while his near misses in freestyle sprints added to the excitement of his campaign.

Seven New CIASA Age Group Records

Lev Fahy rewrote the CIASA 13-14 record books with standout swims that highlighted his versatility and skill:

1. 200 Backstroke: Fahy posted a stellar time of 2:10.93, breaking the previous CIASA age group record and showcasing exceptional endurance and technique.
2. 200 IM (Prelims): A strong swim of 2:14.47 set a new CIASA age group record in the prelims, a record that had stood since 2016.
3. 200 IM (Finals): Fahy improved further with an incredible 2:12.36, resetting his CIASA 13-14 age group record from the morning prelims.
4. 50 Backstroke (Prelims): An initial record-breaking CIASA 13-14 age group swim of 27.50 in prelims.
5. 50 Backstroke (Finals): Fahy surpassed his CIASA 13-14 age group  record from the prelims time with a stunning 27.01, lowering the record again.
6. 200 Freestyle: A blazing time of 1:57.76 shattered the previous record, demonstrating his strength in middle-distance freestyle.
7. 100 Backstroke: Fahy broke the one-minute barrier with a phenomenal 59.20, cementing his dominance in backstroke and a clean sweep of the CIASA 13-14 age group records in backstroke.

Near Misses in Freestyle Sprints

In addition to his record-breaking achievements, Fahy came close to capturing the 50 Freestyle and 100 Freestyle age group records. These near-misses highlight his sprinting potential and set the stage for future record-breaking performances.
