On the first day of the 2024 Tennessee Invitational, Olympian Jordan Crooks was in record-breaking form for the University of Tennessee.
Crooks, the first Cabinet-appointed Sports Ambassador for the Cayman Islands, was selected to go first on the 4 x 200-yard freestyle relay. Jordan held the school record in the 200-yard freestyle at 1:30.41.That time is also the fastest ever by a swimmer from the CARIFTA, Caribbean and CCCAN regions. He would crush that time to give the Volunteers the lead with a new school , CARIFTA , Caribbean and CCCAN record of 1:30.00. He is currently the fastest swimmer in the event this season. It also places him 8th in the event all time.

Noted swim website swimswam.com also has Jordan as the fastest swimmer ever at this point in the midseason.
That gave the Volunteers A a lead which they would not relinquish. Teammates Gui Caribe, Joaquin Vargas and Bjoern Kamman followed and ensured a big victory in 6:12.33. That crushed the 2018 school record of 6:17.18. That time also puts Tennessee under the NCAA A time of 6:15.80. They are also now the fastest team in the NCAA.
