Regarding what will happen with the money raised today, Jennifer West, manager at Meals On Wheels, noted that it will go towards providing meals to over 300 seniors throughout the Cayman Islands. These meals are delivered year-round by volunteers at Meals on Wheels who are members of various communities and choose to donate their time to help seniors in need.

More about Meals On Wheels:

The following is further information about Meals On Wheels which appears on their website:

The feeding of seniors began as a simple act of Christian kindness by the late Martha McField. Not simply satisfied with the usual Sunday visits to elderly friends and neighbours, she began cooking and delivering meals before going to church on Sunday mornings. When the need in the community grew, Meals on Wheels formally began in 1997 under the auspices of the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman and operated by Ms. Beulah McField.  At inception, a total of 14 seniors received meals three days a week.  In 2014 Cayman Islands Meals on Wheels fed 170 seniors in three districts with a partial presence in a fourth, with over 37,000 meals being prepared and delivered. In 2019 we served 245 seniors in all five districts providing over 50,000 meals. Since 2020 those figures expanded to providing nearly 80,000 meals each weekday across Grand Cayman.
