Honduras Incinerates 941 Kilos Of Cocaine Hydrochloride & 369 Packages Of Marijuana In The Fight Against Drug Trafficking

It was reported today, January 31, 2025, that Honduras authorities incinerated 941 kilos of cocaine hydrochloride, 369 packages of marijuana, 126 brownies and 15 envelopes with marijuana compounds at the Puerto Cortés Crematorium. The street value was 300 million lempiras.

Authorities said that the drugs were seized in 2023 and 2024 during operations in Puerto Cortés, Copan, San Pedro Sula, Yojoa, Santa Barbara and Colón.

Commenting on the drug incineration, the National Police said they continue “to intensify its efforts to combat drug trafficking and ensure the safety of the population, removing narcotics from circulation to prevent their illegal sale.”

They added that they encourage the population to report drugs to their anti-drug line at 011 504 9579-4041.

The National Anti-Drug Police Directorate, the National Directorate of Special Forces, the National Directorate of Prevention and Community Security and the Special Prosecutor’s Office Against Organized Crime of San Pedro Sula worked together on the above operations.
