Jasier Matthew McLean, the young man who robbed Mostyn gas station with what the cashier believed was a firearm, was sentenced by Hon. Justice Richards to 10 months for robbery and 19 months for an imitation firearm.  Half of each sentence will be served immediately, and half will be suspended for two years.

The Hon. Justice Richards also implemented a supervision order on the following terms:

  • McLean must comply with any mental health assessment, including any counselling he is advised to do.
  • McLean is subject to random alcohol and drug testing
  • McLean must not have any direct or indirect contact with the cashier at Mostyn gas station
  • Mclean must not enter Mostyn gas station

If he fails to comply with the above conditions or with the instructions of the probation officer assigned to him, McLean will return to court and may have to serve the second half of his sentence.
