Jordan Crooks Shatters Records At The World Aquatics Swimming Championships With A Historic Sub-20 Performance In The Semi-Finals Of The 50M Freestyle Event.

Following his world record-setting 50M freestyle heat performance earlier today, December 14, 2024, at the World Aquatics Swimming Championships in Budapest, Cayman’s Jordan Crooks made history again in the semi-finals as the first man to ever go sub-20 in the event.  Breaking his world record from earlier in the day, he finished the semi-finals with a time of 19.90, according to World Aquatics.

Crooks is now scheduled to swim in the 50M Freestyle event finals on Sunday, December 15, 2024. That lineup will include Crooks, Chris Guiliano (United States), Egor Kornev (Russia), Guilherme Santos (Brazil), Jack Alexy (United States), Nyls Korstanje (Netherlands), Maxime Grousset (France) and Yuchan Ji (South Korea).
