This afternoon, November 7, 2024, a jury found Theodore O’Neil Morgan guilty of stalking a man he was friends with and had intimate relations with. He was also found guilty of a reckless and negligent act by swerving his Mercedes towards his ex-lover and ex-lover’s fiancée while they were out jogging.
Background
As outlined in our previous story, Morgan was accused of following his ex-lover on his morning runs, showing up at the gym where he worked out, stealing a key to his ex-lover’s home and surprising him, uninvited. In addition, the jury heard again today how Morgan allegedly urinated on his ex-lover’s Audi vehicle, which Morgan denied.
Morgan also denied driving his Mercedes recklessly by swerving it in the direction of the ex-lover so rashly or negligently as to endanger human life or safety. According to Morgan’s account, he was never at the scene where the incident was alleged and lent his car to someone that day. Notwithstanding Morgan’s explanations, the jury found him guilty of the reckless act.
What happens next?
Morgan will now face a sentencing hearing on January 17, 2025, at which he will learn how much prison time (if any) he will serve. He was remanded into custody until that date.
