The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service said that at about 9:40 pm yesterday, 20 September, officers responded to a report of a robbery at a business on North Side Road, just west of the intersection with Frank Sound Road. It was reported that a masked man had entered the business, brandished a machete, and demanded cash from the workers there. He then fled the location with a quantity of cash and other items, running in an easterly direction towards a nearby football field. No one was injured during the incident.
The suspect is described as being over 6’ tall, of slim build, and was wearing dark clothing, a black mask, and gloves.
The matter is currently under investigation by Bodden Town CID. Anyone with any information is asked to contact 947-2220.
