Maliek Romaine Copeland appeared in the Summary Court yesterday, February 11, 2025, to face allegations of possession of ganja, possession of ganja with intent to supply, possession of a grinder used in the preparation of a
controlled drug, consumption of ganja and resisting a customs officer. He pleaded guilty to the charges.

Regarding the ganja possession, it was explained that on June 7, 2024, Copeland was found with 38 grams of ganja in the Cayman airport parking lot. He was charged with intent to supply on the same date.

On June 7, 2024, at 93 Owen Roberts Drive, he was also charged with possession of 1.89 ounces of ganja with intent to supply.

Lastly, it was alleged that Copeland resisted a Customs Officer acting in the execution of her duties.

Copeland’s bail was extended to February 13, 2025.
