Today, May 13, 2025, Javonnie Jamal Silburn, Gregorio Cantillano Hurlston, and Dan Davar Damarko Kelly appeared in the Summary Court.  Silburn and Hurlston faced charges of common assault, and Kelly faced charges of threats to kill, insulting the modesty of a woman and causing fear or provocation of violence. In each case, a woman was the alleged victim. Each man pleaded not guilty to the charges against him

Hurlston

Regarding Hurlston, it was alleged in court that on November 28, 2022, at Sol y Luna restaurant in George Town, he unlawfully assaulted a woman.

Later the same day, it was alleged that he assaulted her again on Whitman Seymour Drive in George Town.

Hurlston is expected to return to court on June 3, 2025.

Silburn

In Silburn’s case, it was alleged that on November 14, 2024, on Seaview Road in East End, he assaulted a woman by hitting her in the head, squeezing her face and pulling her hair.

Subsequently, on December 2, 2024, it was alleged that he committed common assault against the same woman on Fern Circle, George Town by choking her, slapping her in the head and pulling her hair.

Silburn is expected to return to court on July 8, 2025.

Kelly

Regarding Kelly, it was alleged that on September 19, 2024, at Kelly’s Bar, he made a threat to kill a woman, intending that the threat would be carried out.

In addition, Kelly was charged on the same date with causing fear or provocation of violence, where he allegedly used threatening behaviour and words to the same woman.

Lastly, Kelly faced a charge of insulting the modesty of a woman whereby he uttered words to a woman, intending it to be heard by her, and intruded upon her privacy.

Kelly is expected to return to court on August 26, 2025.
