National Hurricane Center Says Tropical Wave May Become A Tropical Depression As It Approaches The Caribbean

The National Hurricane Center reported today, August 29, 2024, that a tropical wave is currently over the Central Tropical Atlantic.
The system is moving westward at 10 to 15 mph in the general direction of the Lesser Antilles.
According to the National Hurricane Center, the tropical wave could become a tropical depression by mid-next week.
The chance of formation chance through seven days is medium at 40 per cent.
Stakeholders in the Lesser Antilles and the rest of the Caribbean are encouraged to monitor this development, as forecasts may change at any time.
