The Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Sir Alden McLaughlin, KCMG, MBE, KC, JP, MP, has notified
Members of Parliament (MPs) that the Fourth Meeting of the 2023-2024 Session has been
rescheduled and will now commence on Monday, 22nd July, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.
The Meeting was previously scheduled to commence on 5th July, though this was postponed due
to the passage of Hurricane Beryl.
The new date allows Members additional time for new Parliamentary Questions, Government
Motions, and Private Members’ Motions. House documents will be made available on the
Parliament’s website (www.parliament.ky) following a meeting of the Business Committee.
The Bills to be considered by the Business Committee to be dealt with at the upcoming Fourth
Meeting are:
- Supplementary Appropriation (January 2023 to December 2023) Bill, 2024
- Summary Jurisdiction (Amendment) Bill, 2024
- Perpetuities (Amendment) Bill, 2024
- Pharmacy Bill, 2024
- Firearms (Amendment) Bill, 2024
The proceedings can be accessed live on the Cayman Islands Government’s YouTube and cable
channels, and on Breeze 105.3FM.
The public is also welcome to view the proceedings live from the public gallery at the House of Parliament after signing-in with security.
