Yesterday, June 25, 2024, the Ministry of Planning, Agriculture, Housing, Infrastructure, Transport & Development published guidelines for local egg farmers.
According to the publication, the purpose of the guidelines is “to advance the sustainable development of the local egg sector that will produce high quality sale eggs to meet the demand of the people of the Cayman Islands through the introduction of food safety, quality and environmental standards.”
The guide covers egg distribution, commercialisation, handling and sanitisation.
