Shortly after 12:50 am on Wednesday, 23 October, officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and a black Honda CR-V along North Sound Road near Portland Road. Following the collision, the Honda continued driving and left the scene. The motorcycle rider sustained what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital for treatment.
The collision is currently under investigation by the Traffic & Roads Policing Unit, and officers are seeking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the collision or seen the vehicle which left the scene. It is described as an older model black Honda CR-V, which appears to have been newly painted. An image of the vehicle, captured on CCTV, is below.
In particular, police are seeking to speak with the driver of a grey Honda Stream, which arrived on the scene shortly after the collision occurred. If you are the driver of this vehicle, or have any other information regarding this collision, please contact PC Dawkins at 924-1072.
