Kelvin Jhon Anglo appeared in the Grand Court today, January 10, 2025, for a mention of charges of making false statements. Crown counsel from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions withdrew these charges.
According to crown counsel, a request was made by defence counsel Crister Brady to review the charges against Anglo.
Due to issues raised by Brady, it was determined that the prosecution would no longer proceed.
In the circumstances, Justice Richards entered a plea of “not guilty” against Anglo and discharged him from the offences of making false statements.
However, Rose Anne Tacata, who pleaded guilty to bigamy after she married Anglo when Tacata’s husband was still alive, will face consequences at a trial in March 2024.
