Last night, August 31, 2024, East End beauty Raegan Rutty was crowned the new Miss Universe Cayman Islands at a sold-out crowd at the Westin Grand Cayman.
In addition to being crowned Miss Universe, Raegan won Miss CaymanKind, Best in Swimwear, and the People’s Choice Award.
Winners of other categories were as follows:
- Arin Broderick (Contestant #1): First Runner up, Best Interview, Miss Photogenic
- Brianna Wilson (Contestant #3): Second Runner-up, Miss Congeniality
- Tracey Campbell (Contestant #6): Miss Best Smile, Best in Gown
- Zhané Rambaran (Contestant #7): Miss Social Media
Regarding the first runner-up, Arin Broderick will assume the role of Miss Universe if Raegan is unable to do it for any reason.
Raegan will now prepare for the Miss Universe competition, which will be held at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City in November 2024. In this competition, she will compete against participants from over 100 countries.
Best wishes to Raegan as she showcases the Cayman Islands at yet another international, high-profile event (Raegan is also an Olympian, having previously represented the Cayman Islands as a gymnast).
