The record books of Cayman Islands swimming needed significant revision this weekend as Lev Fahy, a freshman at Florida’s prestigious Bolles School, demolished six CIASA (Cayman Aquatics) records during the Spring Splash meet at Camana Bay.
Lev, who competes internationally for the Cayman Islands national team, continued his extraordinary season by adding six more short-course meter records to his growing collection. With this weekend’s dominant performance, the young swimming phenom has now broken an astonishing thirteen CIASA (Cayman Aquatic) short course records in ten events over a single season.
Fellow competitors and spectators watched as Lev touched the wall in record time repeatedly throughout the weekend competition. His performances across multiple disciplines highlight his versatility and suggest significant potential for future international competition.
This accomplishment comes on the heels of Lev’s equally impressive showing in long-course competition earlier this year in Florida, where he established three new CIASA (Cayman Aquatics) long-course records.

The records now bearing Lev’s name span an impressive range of events, including the 50m, 100m, 200m, and 400m Freestyle; 50m, 100m, and 200m Backstroke; 50m Butterfly; and both the 100m and 200m Individual Medley. This comprehensive collection of records demonstrates his exceptional versatility across multiple strokes and distances.
The historic weekend performance marks another chapter in what is becoming an extraordinary swimming journey for the Bolles freshman, who continues to represent the Cayman Islands with distinction while balancing his academic and athletic pursuits.
