Sailing Club Invites Public To A Live Olympic Opening Watch Party To Celebrate Charlotte Webster, Jordan Crooks, Jillian Crooks, and Davonte Howell

The Cayman Islands Sailing Club, a not-for-profit organisation and the national sailing authority of the Cayman Islands is inviting the public to a kickoff gathering and live watch party at its clubhouse in Red Bay on Friday, July 26, 2024, to celebrate Charlotte Webster, Jordan Crooks, Jillian Crooks, and Davonte Howell’s participation in the 2024 Olympics in France.
These Olympians will represent the Cayman Islands as follows:
- Jordan Crooks: Swimming
- Jillian Crooks: Swimming
- Davonte Howell: Track & Field
- Charlotte Webster: Sailing
The gathering to celebrate our Olympians will start at the Cayman Islands Sailing Club at 1:00 pm.
A happy hour event will be held later, at 6:30 pm, when the opening ceremony will be replayed.
Members of the public unfamiliar with the sailing club’s location may scan the QR code below to arrive at the address: 244 Spinnaker Road, George Town, Grand Cayman.
For those who are still unsure, the Cayman Islands Sailing Club provided the following directions:
After the Hurley’s Roundabout heading east on the main arterial road, take the second left into Red Bay on Selkirk Drive.
Take the third right on Lord’s Way then left on Abbey Way.
Take the first right onto Woodstock Rd. then the first right onto Spinnaker Road.
Follow Spinnaker Rd. as it makes a left turn and then is straight for ¼ mile until it makes another left turn where you will see a sign pointing towards the final right turn into the Club.
The Cayman Islands Sailing Club added that food and refreshments will be available for purchase at the clubhouse. However, hot dogs are free for visitors under 16.
The Cayman Islands Sailing Club also takes this opportunity to welcome new members.
