Tropical Depression Forecasted For Western Caribbean Sea

According to a National Hurricane Center update this morning, November 12, 2024, a tropical wave is over the central Caribbean Sea and may form a tropical depression by the weekend.

The system is currently moving westward into the western Caribbean Sea.  This is expected to change by next week, when it may start moving northwestward.

The formation chance through 48 hours is medium, at 40 per cent.

The formation chance through 7 days is high, 80 per cent.

Interests in the Caribbean should monitor this development as forecasts may change at any time.
