The National Hurricane Center in Miami reported today, June 25, 2024, that a westward-moving tropical wave is over the southeastern Caribbean Sea.
The disturbance is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms and is expected to arrive in the western Caribbean this week.
The National Hurricane Center said the chance of formation over the next seven days is low, at 20 per cent.
The Weather Channel noted, “However, there is a lot of Saharan dust, and that can suppress development before ever making it to the Caribbean.”
