Woman Pleads Guilty To Making 911 Call Falsely Accusing Man Of Kicking Her & Throwing Her Against A Wall

Eli Natcha Bodden appeared in the Summary Court today, January 28, 2025, to face a charge of making a false report to 911 about the commission of an offence. She pleaded guilty to the charge.
Background
As explained in the Summary Court, on September 22, 2024, Bodden called 911 and made a false report that Trevor Gibbs kicked her and threw her against the wall.
Now that Bodden has pleaded guilty to making a false claim, she will be sentenced on February 3, 2025. Her bail was extended to that date.

The penalty for making a false report of the commission of an offence is covered under section 124 of the Police Act. This states:
A person who knowingly makes or causes to be made to a police officer a false report of the commission of any offence commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine of three thousand dollars or to imprisonment for one year, or to both.
