Jeremy Dwayne Scott Jr., a 22-year-old resident, appeared in the Summary Court today, June 17, 2026, to face a ganja consumption charge. He was fined and no conviction was recorded.
It is understood that the charge stemmed from an incident when Scott was driving with two passengers and arrested. Reportedly, he admitted during interview that he smokes ganja and pled guilty.
Prior to today’s hearing, Scott completed drug testing, providing clean urine samples, as ordered by the court.
Considering the foregoing, Scott’s youth. being a first-time offender and his early guilty plea, the Chief Magistrate granted an absolute discharge with no conviction recorded. Scott was ordered to pay $250 in costs (or two weeks in default), payable immediately.
