Man Pleads Not Guilty To Assault, But Guilty To Ganja Charges

Uriah Delbert Bolton appeared in the Summary Court today, June 23, 2026, to face charges of common assault, possession of ganja and consumption of ganja. He pled not guilty to common assault and guilty to the ganja offences.
Regarding the common assault, it was alleged that, in April 2026, Bolton assaulted George Carvalho at Lantern Point apartments in George Town.
Concerning the ganja charges, it was alleged that Bolton possessed 26.896 ounces of ganja (1.681 pounds) at the same location in March 2023. He was also charged with ganja consumption.
Bolton’s trial is set for August 2026. No bail conditions were requested for him.
