RCIPS Press Release

The RCIPS is advising the public of the following road closures, taking place over the next two weekends, to facilitate this year’s Pirate’s Festival activities:

Thursday, 7 November – Saturday, 9 November

  • Albert Panton Street will be partially closed in the vicinity of the old Scotiabank building from 6:00 pm on Thursday, 7 November to 12:00 am on Sunday, 10 November.

Saturday, 9 November

  • Seafarers Way will be closed between Warwick Drive and Fort Street from 6:00 am to 12:00 am.
  • There will also be an all-island motorcade from the Cayman Turtle Centre, in West Bay, which will finish in front of Hard Rock Café.

Monday, 11 November

  • Seafarers Way will be partially closed at Cardinall Avenue from 5:30 am to 6:15 am.
  • Seafarers Way will be closed between Goring Avenue and Fort Street from 8:00 pm to 12:00 am

Thursday, 14 November – Saturday, 16 November

  • Albert Panton Street will be partially closed in the vicinity of the old Scotiabank building from 6:00PM on Thursday, 14 November to 12:00 am on Sunday, 17 November.

Saturday, 16 November

  • Seafarers Way will be closed between Warwick Drive and Fort Street from 6:00 am to 12:00 am.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution when travelling in these areas during these times and to obey any traffic signs, barriers, or instructions from officers present.
