Man Denies Sexual Offence Charges Involving A Girl Aged 15; Trial Set For March 2027

A man pleaded not guilty in the Grand Court today, August 21, 2026, to three sexual offence charges said to involve a girl who was 15 at the time.

Two counts allege indecent assault contrary to section 133 of the Penal Code (2024 Revision), each said to have occurred on August 27, 2025. A third count alleges an offence contrary to section 228 of the Penal Code, on the basis that the man was in a position of trust in relation to the girl, and engaged in activity with her that was sexual in nature.

Not guilty pleas were entered to each count.

A trial date was fixed for the week beginning Monday, March 8, 2027, with a case management hearing on January 28, 2027. Bail was extended to the trial date.
