Jonathan Samuel Welcome appeared in the Grand Court today, July 10, 2026, to face charges of possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition. He pled not guilty to the allegations.
Regarding the first offence, it was alleged that on June 4, 2026, in George Town, Welcome had in his possession an unlicensed 9mm Luger pistol.
The second allegation related to the possession of five 9mm Luger cartridges.
Welcome’s jury trial has been set for November 2, 2026 and is expected to last 4 to 5 days.
