In a separate drug case, Lewis Jazaaniel Christian faced a stern reprimand from Acting Chief Magistrate McFarlane after arriving significantly late to his scheduled court session. Christian faces charges of causing fear or provocation of violence alongside a drug importation offence.
Once present, Christian entered a formal guilty plea to the importation of a controlled drug, admitting to smuggling 5.69 kilograms of Ganja into the Cayman Islands on September 6, 2026.
A Pre-Sentence Report was requested ahead of sentencing. Acting Chief Magistrate McFarlane warned Christian explicitly about his future punctuality and ordered him to return to court on October 27, 2026, and December 2, 2026, to complete his sentencing process.
