In a packed session at the Summary Court today, February 10, 2026, Deisy Diana James De Moore faced serious charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, causing fear or provocation of violence, common assault and stalking of another woman. De Moore pled not guilty to the allegations.
In relation to the charge of stalking, it is alleged that between May 14, 2025 and June 17, 2025, De Moore intentionally engaged in a course of conduct which was directed towards Melissa Ann Marie Rohit on two or more occasions within a period of 12 months, causing her to fear for her safety.
Concerning assault causing actual bodily harm, the Chief Magistrate said that the particulars were that on June 17, 2025 on Godfrey Nixon Way in George Town, De Moore assaulted Ms. Rohit causing her actual bodily harm.
De Moore was further charged with common assault for the above incident.
Regarding the charge of causing fear or provocation of violence, it is alleged that on the above date and at the above place, De Moore used threatening, abusive, or insulting words or behaviour towards Ms. Rohit.
After pleading not guilty to all charges, De Moore was bailed to return to court for trial on April 13, 2026.
