Cayman Judiciary Says Cases Will Adjourn Early on July 2, 2024

The Judiciary wishes to inform the public that, in light of the approach of Hurricane Beryl, all cases will be adjourned from 2:00pm Tuesday, 2 July 2024 to ensure the safety of all court staff, jurors, attorneys and the public. Cases affected by the adjournment will be rescheduled and new dates communicated to all relevant parties in due course.

The Court Registries will close at 2:00 pm today to allow for Court buildings to be secured but in the event of any urgent inquiries, there will be on call Court staff available as listed below.

The safety of court users and the continuity of court operations are our highest priorities. Please stay safe and adhere to all instructions from local authorities.

In addition, attendance for new jurors summoned for the 3 July 2024 session has been postponed until Monday, July 8, 2024.

For further updates, please monitor official communications from the Courts and Hazard Management.
