Howard Deosaran Pleads Guilty To Failure To Pay Over $244K In Pensions & Wages

Awardnath (Howard) Deosaran appeared in the Summary Court today, November 26, 2024, on behalf of himself and Centre For Women, Family & Child Health, a business he directed.  Guilty pleas were entered into for a long list of charges connected to failure to contribute to a pension plan for employees, failure to pay arrears of contributions into the pension plan and failure to pay wages.  He was bailed to return to Court at a later date.

Bail conditions

Given the above guilty pleas, Chief Magistrate Hernandez implemented the following bail conditions:

  1. Deosaran must provide a security for $5,000.
  2. Passport must be surrendered to the Court.
  3. Not to go within 100 yards of any airport or seaport.
  4. Stop notice to be put in place.
  5. Report to the George Town police station on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 10 am and 5 pm.
