Man Killed In Windsor Park. However, Residents Are Frustrated By Lack Of Police Presence Which Facilitates Frequent Crime.

By Alric Lindsay

The Cayman Islands Police said today, July 14, 2024, that a man was murdered in Windsor Park.

While the police did not provide details, sources living on Short Lane said that the parties had a disagreement, which resulted in the altercation.

Regarding this, police said one man has been arrested on suspicion of murde and remains in custody.

While police say the matter is currently under investigation, Windsor Park residents are frustrated that these incidents continue to occur. In particular, residents have frequently requested increased police patrols and presence, which is a call that has not been sufficiently satisfied.

Residents also highlighted that some of these crimes and other disturbances do not originate from Windsor Park residents. While this fact is difficult to control, it could be helped by increased police presence and patrols.

Residents now hope that the Commisioner of Police Kurt Walton will appropriately address the issues.
