Woman Faces Trial Over Alleged North Side Wounding, Assault & Smashed Fish Tank

A Grand Court jury trial has been scheduled for January 2027 for a woman facing multiple charges, including wounding, assault causing actual bodily harm, and damage to property, following a series of incidents involving a man in North Side.

Taniesha Antoinette Gordon appeared in the Grand Court today, September 18, 2026, where she entered mixed pleas to a five-count indictment. Represented by defense attorney Crister Brady, Gordon pleaded not guilty to the most severe allegations but admitted to charges of harassment and illicitly utilizing an electronic network to target a man.

The charges span two separate dates, reflecting an escalating dispute between the parties:

** Count 1 (Wounding): Alleged to have occurred on February 15, 2026, in North Side against the man. Gordon entered a plea of not guilty.

** Count 2 (Assault Causing Actual Bodily Harm): Contrary to Section 216 of the Penal Code, alleging she unlawfully assaulted the man on the same date. She pled not guilty.

** Count 3 (Damage to Property): Alleging she maliciously destroyed a fish tank and fish belonging to the complainant, with a total value exceeding $3,000. She pled not guilty.

** Count 4 (Harassment): Contrary to Section 88B of the Penal Code, arising from an incident on December 2, 2025, involving the non-consensual filming of the man performing a sexual act. Gordon pled guilty to this offense.

** Count 5 (Misuse of an ICT Network): Also occurring on December 2, 2025, where she admitted using the WhatsApp messaging platform to threaten, abuse, or annoy the man. She pled guilty.

Following the entry of the pleas, the court scheduled a jury trial to resolve the remaining contested allegations of wounding, assault, and property damage. The trial is slated to commence on January 13, 2027, and is expected to last between three to five days.

Gordon was granted continued bail under strict conditions until her trial date. Her bail terms require a $2,000 surety and the immediate surrender of her passport to prevent travel outside the jurisdiction.
