According to an indictment, it is alleged that Terrence Orlando Reid raped a female on August 25, 2024. No other information was stated in the indictment. Reid was granted bail with conditions, and his trial is expected to commence on December 1, 2025.
Bail conditions
Based on a Minute Order dated August 8, 2025, Reid’s bail conditions are as follows:
1. Curfew: 12:30 am to 6:00 am.
2. Reporting: The defendant is to report to George Town Police Station on Monday and Friday between 5:00 am to 5:00 pm.
3. Non-contact:
a. The defendant is not to contact the complainant directly or indirectly.
b. The defendant is not to go within 100 yards of the complainant.
4. Exclusion zone: The defendant is not to go to the complainant’s residence or workplace.
5. Stop order: A stop order is in place.
6. Surety: A surety to sign in the sum of $1500.00 Cayman Islands dollars.
7. The defendant is to sign his bail bond by 3 pm on Monday, August 11, 2025.
Reporting restrictions
There is a reporting restriction in this case. Nothing can be published that may directly or indirectly identify the victim.

In rape cases, the Criminal Procedure Code states the general rule for non-reporting of the names of rape victims. Section 31(1) of the CPC states:
31. (1) After a person is accused of a rape offence, no matter likely to lead members of the public to identify a person as the person against whom the offence is alleged to have been committed shall be published in a written publication available to the public or be broadcast, except as authorised by a direction of the court.
