Erroyln Jane Thompson appeared in the Grand Court today, December 12, 2025, facing multiple charges related to forgery, uttering forged documents, and obtaining property by deception. Thompson pleaded guilty to all counts presented to her except one, which was deemed not relevant to the case.
Regarding the forgery, it was alleged that Thompson forged 17 prescriptions purporting to be signed by Dr Gary Starkman between April 2022 and January 2023.
Concerning the uttering of forged documents, it was alleged that between April 2022 and January 2023, Thompson knowingly and fraudulently uttered false documents, namely 12 prescriptions for Oxycodone, purportedly prescribed in time by Dr Gary Starkman.
Turning to obtaining property by deception, it was alleged that between April 2022 and December 2022, Thompson dishonestly obtained from the Foster’s Food Fair pharmacy the drug oxycodone by falsely representing that the prescription was authorised and signed by Dr Gary Starkman.
Dealing with a second charge of obtaining property by deception, it was alleged that between June 2022 and January 2023, Thompson dishonestly obtained from the West Bay pharmacy the drug Oxycodone by deception, namely by falsely representing that a prescription was prescribed and authorised by Dr Gary Starkman.
Thompson was also charged with possession of criminal property, contrary to the Proceeds of Crime Act. Regarding this, it was alleged that on March 2, 2024, Thompson had in her possession criminal property, namely cash, totalling KYD 1,255.
The Grand Court ordered social inquiry reports and victim impact reports to aid in Thompson’s sentencing in March 2026
