The woman accused of a murder that shook the Prospect Drive community has entered a formal “Not Guilty” plea in the Grand Court.

Sherrell Denniela Jackson appeared before Hon. Justice Richards under Indictment 104/26. Represented by defence counsel Prathna Bodden, Jackson heard the single capital charge read aloud to the courtroom.

Jackson is charged with murder stemming from the September 18, 2026, killing of Tyron Burrell on Prospect Drive.

During the brief arraignment, the prosecution notified the court that they require until October 16 to prepare and serve the comprehensive case material to the defence team. The trial will likely occur in 2027.
