Hank Diego Robinson-Porter appeared before the Grand Court today, June 26, 2026, to face allegations of robbery of Rocky’s Diamond Jewelry Store and possession of an unlicensed firearm. He pled guilty to the robbery and not guilty to the firearm possession charges.

Regarding the robbery, it was alleged that, on April 20, 2026, at Rocky’s Diamond Jewelry Store, North Church Street, George Town, Robinson-Porter stole jewelry valued at $26,564.62 from Rakesh Basani, using force or sought to put Basani in fear during the robbery.

The second count was possession of a firearm with intent to commit an offence.  It was alleged that, on the same date and location, he was in possession of a Taurus G2C 9mm pistol with the intent to commit robbery.

The third count was possession of an unlicensed firearm whereby he possessed the same 9mm pistol without holding a valid restricted firearm user license.

Next Steps

Robinson-Porter is expected to return to court on July 24, 2026. In the meantime, the prosecution is expected to review the case based in the pleas offered.
