Shamar Courtney Bethune appeared in the Grand Court today, May 29, 2026, to face charges of robbery and possession of an imitation firearm.  He pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Regarding the robbery, it was alleged that, in April 28, 2026, Bethune stole a cell phone valued at approximately KYD $400 from an individual at Al-La-Kebab, using force.

Concerning the charge of possession of a firearm, it was alleged that he possessed a black pistol with the intent to commit robbery.

The case is now slated to proceed as a jury trial, which is estimated to last three days. A case management hearing has been scheduled for June 11, 2026.
